Olympia Coffee, one of the great roasters in this country, supplies Union Coffee with our workhorse espresso blend aptly named “ sweetheart” for it’s sweetness and chocolaty taste when used in a cappuccino or cortado. The blend changes components often as coffee is a seasonal product and quality of the bean is paramount to Oliver, Oly’s head roaster. Olympia directly trades with growers in 8 countries, and prioritizes its personal relationships with those growers. Oliver's roasting expertise is apparent not only by the amazing product they turn out, but also the shelves full of local and national awards they have won over past few years. Union Coffee features many of Olympia Coffee's single origin roasts on our pour over bar and on espresso, as well as in our retail bag area.
La Cabra Coffee is a fantastic roaster from Aarhus, Denmark featuring great coffees roasted very lightly. I am a huge fan of this company, and whenever we have this coffee on bar, you can be sure that it is slammin'.
Ka Ka Love is an unbelievable roaster in Taiwan. They consistently scour the wold for insane micro lots and roast them to perfection. Our current coffee from them, their Kenya Kiambu Ritho scored a 96 with coffee review and took home their silver medal as their 2nd best coffee of 2018.
Onyx Coffee Lab came to my attention due to the amazing subtlety and evenness of their roasts. They are this years' national roaster champion and every roast is beautiful. Onyx is from Arkansas, and have become one of the very prominent roasters in the country through hard work, extreme expertise and processes that are as strict as they are exhaustive. We feature Onyx on pour over bar, batch brew, and single origin espresso.
